Speculation Was Hot Over New Sybase Partner
In news circles you’re hot when you’re the subject of speculation, and clearly that was so in early May when editors everywhere were pushing their reporters to find the name of the new Sybase partner that the wire service Reuters tipped them off to before the official announcement planned for two days later. As it turned out, the announcement was that Sybase and Samsung SDS are partnering to use the Sybase Unwired Platform (SUP) to deliver the new Samsung SDS Enterprise Mobile Service.

Is 2012 the Year of the Mobile Enterprise? It Depends Who's Answering
Mobility for the enterprise is growing intensely in headlines and book titles. A book published in 2004, "Integrating Wireless Technology in the Enterprise," promised a "world without wires" is "almost here." The key word is "almost"—from a book that is now five years old. You have to ask what does "almost" really mean. Seeking an answer to that and other questions, Sybase created a Mobility Thought Leadership Council that had its inaugural meeting last month.

TechWave Symposium Heads to Washington, D.C. The first of Sybase’s regional Sybase TechWave Symposia will be held in Washington, D.C., Aug. 26-27, at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel.
